at 16 played bass for a band that got on MTV and opened for GNR

at 17 left CHS and went to THMS

at 18 left THMS and finished at AHS

at 19 went to PCC

at 21 graduated PCC with honors in Music Theory and Composition and decided perhaps computers and music weren't entirely incompatible

at 22 was licensed to develop for the SoundBlaster

at 23 went to work running Unix systems for the National Lightning Detection Network

at 24 bought some SUNs and began mairs.net

at 26 went to work for MicroAge ASG designing IP networks, Unix systems and security

at 29 co-founded a consultancy

at 30 started working on first wearable PC

at 31 moved to New York to join the Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Medical Center Unix systems

at 32 witnessed the security failure that was September 11, 2001 and helped with system recovery

at 33 outsourced to IBM to take these systems apart again

at 34 co-founded another consultancy

at 35 retired to Thailand

at 36 married a Thai lady

at 37 realized retirement was evaporating and got a TEFL

at 38 went to work as an English teacher

at 39 began producing short animations and live videos

at 40 moved to China

at 42 went to University of Liverpool

at 43 went back to full-time systems engineering

at 44 received MSc from the UofL and married a Chinese lady

at 45 joined about.me

at 46 went to work for UIUC

at 47 resumed work on first dissertation idea (EEG auth)
