Here's the deal: I fucked up my life pretty badly, but I've given myself a second chance at 45 to do what I've always wanted: be a writer. There's no better time than now. Well, actually that's not true. Twenty years ago probably would've been better, honestly.

But now is the next best time.

I'll take it, because I'm not good for anything else. Luckily for me, the world of writing and publishing fantasy fiction is undergoing a magical transformation. As the old curse goes: may you live in interesting times.
