With an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for positive social change, Moua enjoys connecting people and making things happen.

Before design-thinking was a catch-phrase, Moua worked in the fashion industry and developed a niche for solving problems and understanding customer's needs. In addition, she had worked on over 15+ film/TV productions and found that her resourcefulness was valuable and her witty humor was a plus.

Later on, Moua served in volunteer leadership positions with six nonprofit organizations and currently holds the Vice Chair position with the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - SF Bay Area Chapter. She is a certified Project Manager and has helped plan dozens of events since 2001 and worked with clients such as Lean Startup Productions.

One of the highlights of her career was playing a key role in the passage of CA Assembly Joint Resolution 36 --for the protection of the Hmong-Lao human rights in 2008. Soon after, she was invited to join Earth Peoples at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) to further advocate for the Hmong in Laos on an international level. During the three annual meetings she attended, Moua also helped in the coalition-building of several dozen indigenous groups and NGOs to collaborate various advocacy campaigns.

Over the years, Moua realized her career path does not fit into a single box and her adaptability is what makes her grow.

Moua's side passions are off-road expeditions, photography, obstacle course racing, hiking and camping. When she is not working, she loves to find new adventures in life to conquer.
