Ebony Hillsman is a Peabody Award–winning journalist, executive strategist, and civic leader with extensive expertise in media, digital communications, and organizational growth.
As Founder and CEO of The Creative Protocol, Ebony advises businesses, campaigns, and nonprofit organizations on strategic positioning, audience development, and high-impact storytelling. She partners with leaders to translate vision into visibility—designing communications ecosystems that drive influence, engagement, and measurable results.
Ebony began her career in the CNN newsroom, where she spent over a decade producing national coverage, managing live breaking news, and shaping narratives viewed by millions. That foundation in high-stakes media now informs her work guiding executives and institutions through moments that demand clarity, credibility, and strategic precision.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Florida A&M University and a Master’s in Business Communication from Jones International University. Ebony is a Founding Board Member of the FAMU Northwest Georgia Alumni Chapter, Co-Founder of New Leaders Council Atlanta, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
