Cindy Kinney

Education: Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management, Morningside College, 2002

Recruitment Area: Transfer students from 4-year and 2-year colleges; college graduates seeking a 2nd degree or 2nd major or an initial teaching certificate.

Background: I joined Morningside College's admissions team as the transfer counselor in 2003, but my connection to the college goes back much further. I moved to Sioux City 30 years ago and have always lived within walking distance of the campus. I've pushed baby strollers through campus and, as they grew older, my children learned to ride their bikes around campus and learned to swim at the Hindman-Hobbs HPER Center. I've also watched my daughter's dance recitals in Klinger Neal Theatre and Eppley Auditorium and my son's high school track and football teams compete at Olsen Stadium. I'm proud to say my daughter and I are Morningside Alums, and my son is currently attending Morningside College.

Hobbies: I love to read, watch movies, take long walks and leisurely bike rides. Some of my favorite movies are The Rear Window, To Kill a Mockingbird, It's a Wonderful Life, and The Color Purple. Whatever book I'm currently reading is my new favorite.
