Michael Kaltenmark

I’m most commonly known as “the dog guy,” or “Blue’s dad,” thanks to my role as mascot handler for Butler University. It’s the “other duties as assigned” part of my gig as the school’s Director of Web Marketing and Communications.

Butler is also my alma mater, having issued me a bachelor’s in journalism
and public relations in 2002. I’m currently enrolled
there again, earning a master’s in effective
teaching and leadership.

Other professional endeavors
include a six seasons in the
Izod IndyCar Series with
Vision Racing as the team’s
public relations coordinator.
I also served in a similar role
with Panther Racing for the
2013 Indianapolis 500.

On the personal side, I’m a
Presbyterian, fledgling triathlete,
music lover, and married to my
high school sweetheart who happens
to be a physical therapist and the
mother of our two-year-old son.
