Michael Bateman

Michael is a strategy-focused senior leader and executive with practical experience of transformation, digital, cloud and cyber security. He has proven ability to lead acquisitions, sales and ongoing operations in private equity and publicly listed environments. Michael is experienced in building high-performing teams to deliver commercial, product and technology outcomes across dispersed regions and geographies. He is also a regular blogger and public speaker with an industry and media presence.

Currently Michael is the CEO of Zenzero. Previously he was the CDO at Southworks and Managing Director at Fram. Prior to that, he was Executive Director at Content+Cloud, also holding the roles of Group CISO and Managing Director of Perspective Risk. Additionally, Michael is a Senior Advisor and Non-Exec at PitPat, a UK pet tech start-up, having been part of the founding team.

Recently Michael has also had the pleasure of being nominated to serve on the TechUK Cyber Committee and selected to be a key industry advisor to Microsoft, by sitting on their Global Partner Advisory Council.

Michael was Head of Consultancy at Rainmaker Solutions during rapid growth. Previously, whilst at the Cabinet Office, Michael managed the change and transformation activities across the UK public sector as a founding member of the G-Cloud team. On leaving public sector, Michael was a member of the technology strategy consultancy practice at Deloitte UK. Alongside his career he has also served as a Special Constable in the Met Police and served many years as a Reservist in the British Army.

Michael is able to lead and inspire teams throughout organisations and work with them to reach and exceed desired goals across operations, commercial, product and engineering. He has done this across many organisations being central to the delivery of growth, transformation and mergers and acquisitions. Michael is also comfortable operating as a senior executive in both private and public sectors, having experience of working with a wide range of investors, boards and stakeholders; often being trusted for his honesty, integrity and straight forward approach.
