Native New Yorker raised in San Juan. Graduate of the University of Puerto Rico (Comparative Literature). I studied modern languages at the UPR, and German at Escuela Hotelera de San Juan (and one on one, with the great Ute Spengler). My writing and photography work have appeared in local, national and overseas publications (books and magazines) both in print and online, and has been exhibited locally in Seattle.
Multilingual professional spoken language interpreter and translator for over 20 years. I organize and host not-for-profit literary, culinary and photography focused gatherings at my downtown Seattle home. My life revolves around coffee, travel, photography, literature, music, language, the performing arts, 'Mochi' our Maine Coon, and stand up paddle boarding.
*As of April 2012, on indefinite "sabattical" from professional endeavors to enjoy life with my dad, who is battling an inoperable cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis with optimism, strenght and grace; and with family and closest friends in Seattle, Honolulu and San Juan.
