I am an educator, a public speaker, a humanitarian and an interfaith activist who is deeply committed to human rights, equity and social justice as well as community and interfaith outreach.

I am also an advocate for children and women’s rights.

I have developed initiatives and spoken in programs that foster interfaith cooperation and dialogue while promoting civic engagement with American society.

I enjoy exploring different cultures and communities through international travel, literature and films.

I also love to write and have dabbled in writing poetry, prose and children’s stories.

I earned my Master of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, my Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago, and my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Loyola University Chicago, with minors in Spanish and Islamic World Studies.
