Danielle Nakpil

Danielle is a 19-year-old journalism major from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She used to hate sports but surprisingly pursued a path in sports writing. To her surprise, ball games were not just about victors and losers, statistics and numbers. There is a story waiting to be unfolded behind every athlete, behind every win, even every loss. She fell in love in an instant.
Today, she hopes to see the world in a more intimate way and tell more stories not only of sports heroics but of people who need to be heard the most.
