Naomi Caird

In June 2012 I will graduate from the University of Greenwich with a BA Hons Degree in Digital and Graphic design. This course has opened up the world of design to me enabling me to appreciate what others take for granted. Through the last three years of my life I have found my true self in terms of design. All of the projects have enabled me to establish my weaknesses as well as my strengths. Within the last year my passion for book and brochure design has flourished and my typography skills are developing and improving vividly and my portfolio demonstrates this. Photography is also a big part of my life, my camera is my eyes. I enjoy the momentarily image that a camera creates, a once in a lifetime photo that in some cases cannot be re captured. Combining design and photography together is also a key aspect within my work, an image and text can say a thousand words.

Last year in June 2011 I gained experience within the industry working for a design and advertising company based in Kent; this gave me an insight into how a work environment functions and how the deadlines are maintained.

As well as designing I take pleasure in socialising with friends and family, visiting exhibitions is also a great opportunity to do this.
