ANCHOR-REPORTER, Investigative journalism, and Shows host in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso
I am Issa K. Napon from Burkina faso, located in West Africa. I have worked for the public RadioTv station (RTB) as a news anchor/ reporter and investigative journalism, telling stories on political and social issues, highlighting facts which are harmful to people. I was pleased to be honored several times in my career, including a CNN African Journalists of the Year Award (2008) . I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in communication and Journalism from the Université de Ouagadougou and Université Aube Nouvelle plus a post graduate certificate from Arizona State University.
My goals is to contribute in the promotion of transparency and accountability among leaders and fellow citizens by always hard working to deliver high quality and useful information, tell stories on hidden issues to influence people and policy makers to do right things . I got great experience through trips accross the world and including successfull intership into thé Voice Of America at Washington DC, 12news ans ABC15(Phoenix/Arizona).
Also talented and skilled in advocacy campainings, communication for social change I have advised and succesfully worked for several companies to polish their image, meet their advocacy goals... I was lately thé head of thé Communication and Advocacy to thé Médiateur du Faso, a central institution in Burkina Faso.
I have been honored many times in my career through several awards, including the one I am the most proud of: the 2008 CNN Africa Journalist of the year award won in a contest celebrating the best African journalists. I am very passionate by Native Americans culture. I love volunteering and I have voluntered for Habitat For humanity in Phoenix. In Burkina Faso I am actively involved in my community activities. I am thé président of ADHIS,my neighborhood community association which is dedicated in improving youth and vulnérable people life. We regularly organize médical consultations and heal vulnérable people for free, empower youth through workshops, pack food, clothes and other useful gifts for Internal displaced People.
