Hi, I'm Nation, and I am the Director of Engagement at New Kind. I live and work in the Triangle region of North Carolina. For the past year and a half I've worked with New Kind to build community in the "social era." Digital culture, storytelling, and an understanding of how to message drive my work.
Before New Kind, I was the Director of Digital Media for the startup United Football League where I built the digital presence and approach for the League and the teams. Before and after the UFL I have worked for a number of political campaigns and nonprofits.
When I am not working, I write on Medium, serve on the Board of the Pamlico Tar River Foundation, the UNC Chapel Hill Young Alumni Council and the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation Community Leadership Council. I read at virtually every spare moment, run, enjoy the company of friends and family, love being outside, and I am the resident food lover in every group.
