Naydera Pollard

Singer/ Songwriter Naydera Pollard was born in Philadelphia, Pa. She started singing at a young age in her church choir, and later decided music would be her career. Along with a childhood friend, she formed the group Nische’, and the girls had numerous shows all over Philly and in NY, including Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater. After leaving the group a few years later, Naydera continued to develop as both an artist and songwriter. Now performing under her first name, her style of music is neo-soul, soul, pop, and R&B, with the goal to break into jazz and country. Her writing is her real life experiences others can relate to. She recently finished her own EP titled “Lyrically Undefined” (also her writing alias), produced by Antoine McRae aka T-Matic (Tree House Coalition), a fellow musician, producer and longtime friend. The EP consists of a variety of genres within the eight songs, including the singles “You Could Be The One” and “Hold My Hand” which can be found online http://www.reverbnation.com/naydera. Along with her personal projects, she has written and been featured as an artist on numerous projects, including Nightlife on T-Matic's Chill Street Blues and Chopped and Screwed and Roller Coaster on the mix tape Stay Tuned:Volume I from Tunez of Konkret Music, which can also be found online @ http://www.youtube.com/user/Bwourluv2010. Naydera is currently pursuing a dual degree in Songwriting & Professional Music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ma.
