Mike Nayyar

My name is Varun Michael Nayyar. But please call me Mike.

I am a senior product manager currently employed at Disney Streaming Services. In my previous lives, I've had a variety of roles in the The Walt Disney Company, in Consumer Products and Parks, as well as product roles at Laurel & Wolf, an interior design startup, AT&T, and Comcast.

My contributions can be seen in numerous products offers by AT&T and Comcast, from accessing the Help & Support sites across the Comcast platforms, ordering and upgrading services through http://www.comcast.com, automating the process of moving customers, ordering advanced features through Comcast Digital Voice, and ordering Pay-Per-View events over the phone.

Throughout my career, I have been placed at the lead of several key projects, performing tasks of strategic roadmap planning, defect triage, program management, UI wireframing and prototyping, business development, data analytics, and user sentiment research. My skills have expanded with my role, and enable me to lead a strong team in an agile environment.

All of the usual buzz words apply - forward thinking, high energy, great team player, strong social presence, leadership, on and on - but what sets me apart is my ability to clearly and effectively communicate with various groups, from users to developers and testers, engaging and understanding needs and requirements of all stakeholders involved. My goal as is to find problems, and find the solution to them.
