Following a career in Mental Health Nursing since 1985 I joined the University of Salford in July 2002 as a Lecturer Practitioner in Mental Health Nursing. I made the move to become a full time Lecturer in November 2003 and in July 2008 I became a Senior Lecturer. I teach across all pre-registration, post-qualifying and post-graduate programmes. My academic interests focus around acute mental health care, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Family Interventions, physical health care in mental health and simulation to enhance learning. I am particularly interested in the use of technology to enhance learning.
