Distinguished History Professor Emeritus @ Eastern Illinois University. I have directed a Faculty Development and Innovation Center and helped begin a Center for Student Innovation, both in Booth Library @ EIU. I have taught about things British, Irish, and premodern and early modern.I continue to work with fantastic colleagues from across the university & beyond. Friends, dogs, pop music (are house, glam, pub, or reggae, still things?), & spy & detective novels keep me engaged in a wider (or is it more local?) world.
