Nicholas Benson

Preparing for a possible career in law, consummate student Nick Benson currently studies for the LSAT (Law School Admission Test). In his spare time, Mr. Benson enjoys spending time with his dog, day trading, working on classic cars, and staying fit. A graduate of the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), Nicholas Benson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Sociology in 2011, balancing a heavy class schedule with a full-time job. Prior to earning his Bachelor’s degree, Nicholas Benson studied at Sacramento City College (SCC), where he joined the varsity wrestling team and earned admittance to the academic Honors Program as two-time Academic All-American. While earning an Associate degree in General Education and Communication, Nicholas Benson worked as a volunteer wrestling coach at Davis High School for the 2007 season; the next year, Davis High School hired him as a paid Assistant Wrestling Coach. Mr. Benson utilized the techniques he learned on the varsity team at SCC to improve the young wrestlers’ agility, strength, and sportsmanship. During his coaching tenure, nine Davis High School wrestlers competed in the sub-sectional tournament and one wrestler competed in the section state qualifier tournament.

Throughout his years as a student and coach, Nicholas Benson honed his professional skills in a variety of roles and industries for such companies as Six-Pac Recycling Corp., SP Group Inc., and College Works Painting. At Six-Pac Recycling, he maintained responsibility for organizing the scrap yard, prepping scrap material with heavy cutting torches and demolition saws, and greeting visitors to the facility. Mr. Benson composed internal documents and communicated with the company CEO and Vice President as a Building Maintenance Technician and Assistant for SP Group Inc. As a summer intern at College Works Painting (CWP), he supervised employees and subcontractors, established new business contacts, and trained his fellow employees. Nicholas Benson also learned the process of interviewing and hiring new employees and administering payroll at CWP.
