Nick Coleman

Writer, Editor, and Consultant in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Nick Coleman is co-founder and editor of ProBonoPress (www.probonopress.org), a creative consulting firm specializing in nonproft storytelling, strategic communications and public service journalism.

Nick is one of Minnesota's best-known journalists and was an award-winning Twin Cities newspaper columnist for three decades. A native of Saint Paul, Nick has recorded 300 TV commentaries and has appeared on "60 Minutes," "Nightline," PBS and Britain's SkyTV. He has hosted two talk radio news shows and served as editor of Minnesota's top online news site, The UpTake, from 2012 to 2014.

Nick has been a Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow, a recipient of a prestigious National Endowment for the Humanities Journalism Fellowship and an adjunct journalism professor at several Twin Cities colleges. Nick partners with his wife, freelance writer and communications consultant Laura Billings Coleman, in ProBonoPress, which provides "storytelling solutions for nonprofits and noble causes."

Nick is a USA Hockey coach with years of on-ice experience helping kids learn the "State of Hockey's" favorite game. He also is a dual citizen, having both U.S. and Irish citizenship.
