Nick Campbell

I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, the oldest son of a fireman and a rollerskating teacher. I ended up in Chicago to study to be a Motion Designer. I worked three years at Digital Kitchen as an animator and a photographer where I made TV commercials and title sequences. You can see that work at my portfolio, CreamyOrange.

I founded an iPhone App company called BananaCameraCo and a motion design education site called Greyscalegorilla. You can see my random bloggy-blog stuff at and I pretend to be a musician and a song writer at CampbellandMonson. Lately, I have been speaking to students and creatives about how to be creative and get paid to do what you love.

I work and live in Chicago where I drink a lot of craft beer, play a lot of pinball, and listen to a lot of podcasts.
