Nicolas Pelletier

Nicolas Pelletier graduated from Cegep Marie-Victorin, where he obtained an education in both classic art and modern design innovations. In addition to studying famed figures including Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he participated in illustration and design courses. Today, Nicolas Pelletier commands a thorough understanding of such programs as Corel Painter, Autodesk Maya, Combustion, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and 3D Studio Max (now Autodesk 3ds Max). He presently works as a video game designer and employs a deep passion for constantly creating more appealing characters and landscapes for online and mobile phone gamers. Outside of these pursuits, he pursues a growing interest in children’s books, and hopes to gain assignments as an illustrator in the near future.

Nicolas Pelletier benefitted from an upbringing rich with travel and art. His parents, both physicians, brought him along on various work trips to Spain and Japan, and supported his emerging talents as an artist. He initially began sketching as a child, enthralled by high-concept comic books The Adventures of Tintin, Superman, The Adventures of Asterix, Dragon Ball, and others. Fascinated by thrilling fantasies, he also fed his imagination with fantastic children’s series The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. To this day, Nicolas Pelletier lists these books as his favorite pieces of literature. When not drawing or reading, Nicolas Pelletier enjoys spending time with animals of all sorts; in fact, he once considered a career as a veterinarian. He also shares his free hours with his wife, planning upcoming trips and partaking in traditional Spanish fare at restaurants featuring live flamenco dancers.
