I started a PhD in September 2015 at the University of Huddersfield working with The Hepworth Wakefield about the possibilities and limitations of coproduction, using the Gott Collection as the jumping-off point.

My thesis is about how we can ensure that a diversity of voice is heard in the creation of historical knowledge - that it's not just coming from the ivory tower. To do this I'm working with several community members to create knowledge about the Gott Collection in workshop formats throughout 2017. I am also working on the context of the Collection - how it was collected and the fashion for collection in the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth centuries.
