Nicole Pence is an Emmy award-winning journalist living in Central Indiana.

After 12 years in the business, Pence is currently pausing her television news career to take care of her three young sons.

“I know there will be many days I will miss sitting behind the anchor desk delivering the news and reporting in the community, but I’ll cherish being there for my babies when they need me most,” Pence wrote on her Facebook page on March 8th, 2017.

Pence gave birth to her third son in January after welcoming twin sons the year before in December.

Pence most recently was an anchor/reporter at CBS4/WTTV in Indianapolis owned by Tribune. Pence launched the CBS4 Reads initiative, #Wishful Wednesday community series with Make-A-Wish and Nicole In Your Neighborhood weekly franchise series with Yelp Indy in August 2015 while anchoring CBS4 This Morning.

Pence is a 4-time Emmy award winner. She won a regional Emmy award (Best Morning Newscast) from the NATAS Lower Great Lakes Chapter for her role as anchor of CBS4 This Morning (2016). She also won an Emmy for her reporting series on the Make-A-Wish organization #WishfulWednesday (Community Affairs Series) monthly franchise (2016). Additionally, Pence won an Emmy for her reporting series (News Feature) on her Indiana's Very Own profile piece on Mighty Max (June 2016).

Pence first joined Tribune (FOX59/CBS4) in June 2014 to help launch a brand new newscast, "FOX59 NewsPoint at 11PM."

RTNDA awarded FOX59 with an Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence in 2016. The NATAS Lower Great Lakes chapter nominated Pence for an Emmy award for her work as the broadcast anchor and co-executive producer of NewsPoint in April of 2015. In the first year, NewsPoint ranked 2nd (Nielson) at 11PM. Pence was also named Most INfluential Social Media Dame in 2014.

Pence has also been heard on the nationally syndicated The Bob & Tom Show.

Before coming to CBS4/FOX59, Pence worked at WTHR, WLEX & Indiana's NewsCenter.

A midwestern girl, Pence grew up in Columbus, Indiana. She graduated Cum Laude from DePauw University. She also earned her Master’s of Public Affairs from SPEA at IUPUI.
