i am a PhD candidate (Historical Musicology) at Duke University specializing in early 20th-century American and British music, contemporary opera, performativity, Benjamin Britten, gay & lesbian studies, and the philosophy/aesthetics of music.

when not doing that, you can find me coding, sketching, composing, working on and off for Apple, being a social media junkie, blogging, teaching undergrads about music history, playing bassoon, taking pictures, working on my polyglot status, traveling, and trying my best to live the best life possible.
