I spent most of my career in the United States Air Force as a recruiter, trainer and marketing expert. I've initiated and spearheaded several marketing and training programs that were adopted by the military nationwide which increased personnel recruitment and retention.
After my military career I decided to go back to school to get my Master's degree and co-founded a grassroots volunteer group in Portland, Oregon for the nonprofit humanitarian organization, Heifer International. My "accidental techie" started when I created the Heifer Portland blog (which has been adopted by the entire organization), managed the Heifer Portland Twitter and Facebook accounts, and promoted the organization and cause on several new media platforms.
In 2009, we started [B]cause Media | Social Communications. Where we create and develop innovative social media marketing strategies and campaigns for small businesses and non-profits to increase brand recognition and productivity
I live and work by my motto, “You are defined by what you give.” My attitude of doing things 100% or nothing at all has made me a successful businessman and earned the respect in my community.
