Nora Plesent

An advocate of flexible work schedules for legal professionals, Nora Plesent serves as a Principal at full-service legal employment agency Lexolution, LLC. Possessing more than 15 years of experience in the legal staffing field, Plesent also overseas company operations in California as the firm's Managing Partner in the region. Prior to her current role, Nora Plesent worked as an attorney at a notable New York-based law firm.

After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from the University of Michigan, Nora Plesent attended The George Washington University, where she graduated with a Juris Doctor. Plesent began her legal career as Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney's Office, which serves the City of Brooklyn. In this position, Plesent litigated criminal cases as part of the sex crimes unit.

Plesent then represented clients as a criminal and commercial defense tax litigator at Kostelanetz Ritholz Tigue & Fink for over 15 years. She went on to earn the designation of partner at successor law firm Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP. In 2001, Nora Plesent co-founded Lexolution. As one of the firm's Principals, she specializes in securing work for members of the legal services industry seeking half-time or adaptable options. Lexolution operates offices in metro areas across the United States, including New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

A speaker and consultant on flexible career opportunities for legal professionals, Plesent established the New Girls' Network in 2007. Seeking to connect and mentor female law professionals, the New Girls' Network organizes a variety of networking opportunities, seminars, and events on a regular basis.
