Nicole Stribling

Middleburg, Virginia

As Curator of Permanent Collections, I catalog and care for the many different fine and decorative art objects that belong to the National Sporting Library & Museum. The collections include paintings, sculpture and works on paper, as well as trophies, weathervanes and other objects, ranging from the late-17th century through contemporary times. I am also the registrar for the temporary loan exhibitions, coordinating transit, packing and insurance for loans.

Prior to the NSLM, I worked at the National Gallery of Art in the American and British Paintings Department and the Exhibitions Department. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Museum Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

I’ve ridden hunters and jumpers for most of my life. I currently live in The Plains with my husband and hound dog.
