My name is Nicole Vargas, and I am a professor in the Digital Journalism program at San Diego City College.

As a professional journalist, I specialized in multimedia production for a major daily newspaper. I now apply those skills in the classroom, teaching in the DJRN program and advising the award-winning City Times news website, print newspaper and Legend magazine. I also co-advise Newscene, a weekly student-produced TV news broadcast.
