I am a multi-winning investigative journalist working at The Standard.
I am also a leader at my home place in Masaba District where I have been elected and nominated to serve in various positions.
My academic background is in Economics and Finance(Kenyatta University) and Law(University of Nairobi).
In the last two years, I have won various awards amongst them the 2013 Journalist of the Year in the Media Council of Kenya Annual Journalism Excellence Awards, and Best Reporter in Kenya’s leading media houses, Nation Media Group (NMG) and Standard Group.
In the recent past, I have covered the ongoing war in Somalia against the Al-Shabaab militants, sustainable development initiatives in France, how climate change is affecting farming in Rwanda to the controversial rendition programme between the Ugandan and Kenyan governments.
In the next year, I plan to do investigative stories in the fields of security, terrorism, development and aid.
I am young, social, outgoing and a youth with a knack for conquering new grounds. I am the kind of person who creates mountains and moves them!
