My large project ongoing is a doctorate program at SKEMA Business School, Lille, France. I plan to defend my doctorate in spring 2018. The topic is how technology affect the public sector, how public sector need to change based on new technology, the need to change how services are delivered and to establish a framework for change management in municipalities. I have worked in the IT business since 1986 - in Nordics, Russia and US. During my career I have held several management positions in areas like software development, consultancy, service desk, call-center, service delivery, logistics, business development, acquisitions, start-ups and strategy. Also been responsible for establishing and managing nearshoring of software development in Russia, St. Petersburg for 10 years. The business were established in 1999 with 5 software engineers and when I left the there were more than 70 employees.

In may 2014 I joined an IT-company (Digitale Gardermoen) as a CEO. The company has 50 employees and delivers IT- and advisory services to municipalities in Norway. For more information about my professional life look at my LinkedIn profile (https://no.linkedin.com/in/oddruud).

I am a part of the Apple eco-system. Owns several Apple devices and app-driven gadgets like iGrill and Apple Watch.

In my spare time I love riding my Harley-Davidson Road King. I spend time with the family and to keep in shape I enjoy mountain biking.

The last private project were "Ambulance to Tajikistan 2014". The project raised money to acquire an ambulance with medical equioment in Norway, drive it to Tajikistan and deliver it to a hospital in Muminobod, close to the border of Afghanistan.
