I am an International Relations graduate student and Canadian writer currently at Cambridge University. I am an affiliate of the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen's University and the Woodrow Wilson Center. My research focuses on the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific but I have an interest in economics, globalization, history, literature, and public policy.

I have experience working in consulting, government, think-tanks, and investment banking and I have appeared on both BBC radio and television to discuss international issues. I write for Project Syndicate, iPolitics, and other publications.

Born and raised in Toronto, with stints in Boston, Ottawa, and Paris, I received my Honours B.A. in Political Studies from Queen's University in June 2012, winning the Gold Medal at graduation. I've found myself at Harvard (2008) and Sciences Po Paris (2010) along the way.
