Always dreamt of studying Art, saw the movie "Hamlet" and instantly realized that I want to study Literature and teach Drama.

Had Art and Acting lessons. Acted and worked for the theatre group "Phoenix" between 2003-2005.

Had my BA (2005) and MA (2008) degrees at the department of English Language and Literature with my thesis "Pain and Violence in Three Contemporary English Plays."

Had my PhD (2013) at the same department with my thesis entitled "Trauma on the English Stage: Kane, Ravenhill and Ridley," research for this dissertation is done at the Department of Drama at Queen Mary College, University of London, London.

Currently I am working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Istanbul University and as a Visiting Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Drama, School of English and Drama, Queen Mary, University of London.

Presented papers on theatre and film at national and international conferences and published articles in various journals and monthly magazines. My area of study covers contemporary British plays and subjects like theatre theory, trauma theory, cinema and literature, adaptations, intertextuality, dystopias, apocalypticism, and violence in drama and literature.

Also did subtitle translations for Discovery Channel and BabyTv anonymously for a short period in 2006. I am currently a translator of English books for Dogan Egmont (since 2013).

I am also the translator of recent British plays and plays in English since 2007 (The Wonderful World of Dissocia, Product, The Pitchfork Disney, Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat, Some Explicit Polaroids, The Fastest Clock in the Universe, Leaves of Glass, Some Voices, Raised by Lesbians) and a translator of Ebru Nihan Celkan's plays (Proje_TX7, Tetikçi) and a dramaturg, assistant director, and director for the theatre group buluTiyatro since 2012. Formerly I worked with theatre groups like DOT, İkincikat (Tiyatro 0.2), Yan Etki.
