Marco Paleari

Software Engineer and Project Manager in Turin, Italy

I hold a Ph.D. in signal processing from Telecom ParisTech and two master degrees from Politecnico di Torino in telecommunication engineering and from Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis in multimedia technologies.

My multidisciplinary background includes but it is not limited to: artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining, affective computing, 3D avatar animation, computer vision, biometrics, physiological signal acquisition and processing, electronics, robotics, and space robotics.

As a result of my career history, I acquired several competencies in people and project management which are helped by my good aptitude for foreign languages (I fluently speak Italian, English, and French, and I have basic knowledge of a few other languages), business and my curiosity towards new people.

My current employment is within the Italian Institute of Technology Center for Sustainable Future Technologies and PhD FindYourDoc

My current responsibilities regard ICT assets, project and people management, with a little touch of HR management.

I am very competitive and still fair to rules and I love challenges. As a matter of fact, I practice many team sports such as sailing, soccer, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee but I am also passionate about nature and individual sports activities such as skiing or scuba diving.

Also curious about politics, in 2011 I was asked at the last moment to run for the local election and I obtained a good result in my district.
