Pascal Masuba
I’m Pascal Masuba, a Sierra Leonean and I was born into my country's decade civil war. Going through the civil war, I became a Child activist for children affected by the war and met with World great leaders to discuss issues concerning children. My most solemn moment on the job was visiting hard-to-reach areas and finding kids without clothes and protruded stomach-signs of malnutrition, and with that I developed the innate desire to live a life for the poor and be a voice for the voiceless and deprived of societies.
I am the founder of Zenith Academy- a home remedial, free of charge to help youth with basic key concepts and examination guidelines. I am also the co-founder of IMPACT Volunteers Sierra Leone and I wish to start an Innovative movement-InDesign- that provides market for skillful artisans and provides skills training and standardization for their career growth. Through this, I hope to bring to fruition the idea of ‘Recycling and Reuse’ as a solution to most of our waste deposit. A component of this movement will be directed to improving the reading culture of the Sierra Leonean youth and on that note, InDesign will be focused on publishing national youth magazines that portray achievements and outstanding work of youths, and other vocabulary-enhancing, career guidance, and professional development books.
