I am the Kurdistan Bureau Chief at Iraq Oil Report, a subscription news and research service reporting on Iraq's development through in-depth reporting and analysis on its energy sector.

I am based in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

Until September 2012 I was Deputy Editor of Oil & Gas Middle East, a monthly magazine about - well it's obvious - based in Dubai, UAE.

Before that I was a qualified lawyer at a Top 100 UK law firm.
