PATRICIA MEZU

I am a Lawyer and Early Childhood Specialist with experience in the Montessori, Early Years Foundation Stage and American curricula. I have worked as a teacher in Europe and Singapore.

I worked in Dubai as the Head of Raffles International School, Kindergarten. This involved setting up the section from its inception, developing the curriculum, managing teachers; developing the structure of the kindergarten; and initiating strategies for school improvement and change. Under my leadership the section was rated outstanding for 3 years running, by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau [KHDA].

I own Professional Minds FZ LLC, a UAE licensed educational consultancy. The firm specialises in the successful improvement of pre-schools; initiating middle management effectiveness; creating organic curricula, implementing effective systems of assessment and evaluation; preparing schools for inspection and training teachers in continuous professional development.

The company also advises clients on the process and procedures for successfully setting up nurseries and early childhood centres, under licence by MOSA and the KHDA in Dubai. Professional Minds provides on going support to nursery and centre owners, in terms of curriculum development, training and coaching staff in the techniques required for child centred practice, effective assessment and differentiation.

I am passionate about early childhood education and use my skills and expertise to develop professional educators; which results in improved teaching practice and learning, in schools.

I have a Masters in Education [Leadership and Management] from the Institute of Education, University of London.
