Patryce Farrell

An experienced and knowledgeable project and quality assurance manager, Patryce Farrell has managed quality testing for many of Adobe Systems' popular products. Most recently, she led a team in testing the company's new Creative Cloud program, a membership system that combines online features with download rights to Adobe's Creative Suite software set. Adobe selected Patryce Farrell for the position largely based on her 15-year success with the company, during which she improved many of its quality review processes.

Patryce Farrell began with Adobe Systems as a Senior Quality Engineer in the company's Printing Technologies Group. Efficient and effective in the testing of the PostScript device, she garnered the notice of company executives and earned her first Project Lead position. In this role, Ms. Farrell managed product testing for the Adobe PDF Library's newly developed transparency feature. She successfully developed a new testing process and an overall testing plan, and in 2002, she rose to the position of Quality Engineering Manager for Core Technologies.

Over the next nine years, Patryce Farrell re-imagined Adobe Systems' quality engineering and quality assurance systems. She solidified job descriptions for all Quality Engineers, developed new standards for measuring quality, and encouraged earlier-stage quality testing. These initiatives led to quicker bug identification and pre-user redesigns that saved more than $2 million per year in troubleshooting costs. She also built an international Quality Assurance (QA) team that consisted of 14 professionals in Japan, China, and India as well as in San Jose, California, and Seattle, Washington.

Active in her community, Patryce Farrell recently began volunteering with the San Jose Public Library in California. She also volunteers with CSIX Connect, a networking and support organization for job seekers in and around San Francisco, California. In her leisure time, she enjoys taking comedy improvisation classes at ComedySportz San Jose.
