I am a full-time professional musician with a Master's Degree in Music from North Texas State University. I started out as a pianist, added the saxophone and woodwinds, and now I consider myself a multi-instrumentalist. I've had a fulfilling and varied career playing everything from a touring opera company in Europe (Porgy and Bess) to Oldies Rock & Roll bands (The Sons of the Beach, Grand Cayman), to touring with a Grammy-nominated Contemporary Christian recording artist (DeGarmo and Key) and with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas ("O" at the Bellagio 2009).

My principal instruments are the saxophone and the keyboard. I have recently added some cultural wind instruments: Irish whistles and flute, and Japanese shakuhachi. I am also a keyboardist capable of playing in an ensemble or as a solo pianist/vocalist. I also play the piano accordion and I am working hard on my latest project: acoustic guitar (playing AND singing). I also play hand percussion.

I presently earn most of my living working in a medium that I truly enjoy: musical theater. My role is that of a "utility" musician: a versatile multi-tasking musical problem solver who can make a small band sound bigger than it is. I am seeking to create and maintain quality professional relationships across Canada and globally. I still have some road miles left in me, but only for the right situations, such as touring Broadway-type shows or backing a recording artist that I truly respect and admire.

Because I perform in a band most of the year playing musicals at Canada's most successful Dinner Theatre, I would welcome the opportunity to play SOLO on cruise ships or at resorts for short contracts. I can perform acoustically or with tracks and/or drum machine. My solo repertoire ranges from the 1890's to the early 1980's. The generations from "baby-boomers" onward seem to appreciate what I do. :-)

I love the mountains and the ocean so work opportunities in either environment are welcome.

Although I have 4 CDs of my own music as a recording artist, I am happiest when I am working in the service of others.
