For over 40 years I have been involved in technology work of some sort. The careers include an era as a registered architect, several years as a designer (theathrical sets, landscapes, print production,and children's products), a seemingly endless path through classrooms, and a happy landing as a manager for a terrific web programming group at Belmont University.
In the hours away from the office, I don a mask, cape and apron and evolve into a clay artist-potter (ok... so I'm kidding about the mask and cape part). Actually, the "clay artist part" may be an exageration because I seem to learn something new with every venture into a lump of clay.
My projects range from pure utililty (i.e. mugs, bowls, etc.) to a wide range of sculptural/whimsical ceramic musical instruments.
