About me: I'm a retired Waldorf teacher and latterly Life Guide. I live a simple life, doing - where ever possible - only things that make me happy. I have an art room, a cat, a puppy, delightful friends all over the globe, two remarkable grown daughters and my freedom. What more could I ask for?

I wanted somewhere to keep track of my progress as an artist and thought writing a blog might be a good idea, so 'The Contented Crafter' was born. Originally it was mainly for my benefit, a place to post photos and process before giving them away - so much has gone unrecorded and forgotten - but I hoped others might find it fun to peruse as well.

I soon discovered that blogging opened up a whole new world for me - I have made many new friends over the past years, I've travelled to the US to meet some of them, a gift bestowed upon me by these delightful women. I've sent my creations freely out about the globe to my great delight and with every giveaway enhanced my feeling of contentment and gratitude for this life I have been gifted.

I welcome visitors and old or new friends to my blog
