Paul Kerley, the owner and president of Commercial Property Resources, Inc., based out of Salem, Oregon, manages more than 1,400 residential rental units in Oregon and Illinois and oversees more than 100 employees. He opened the company in 1983, and he has steadily increased the number of holdings in his portfolio, which at one time included an interest in and control of more than $70 million in property. Most of Paul Kerley’s portfolio includes B- and C-class assets, which he rents to middle-class as well as low- to moderate-income tenants.
Previously, Paul Kerley worked as a real estate broker in Oregon, specializing in different types of commercial property. One of his outstanding transactions dealt with a $34 million sale of six shopping centers by Spieker Properties to Pan Pacific Properties.
Paul Kerley earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Montana State University. He obtained his juris doctor from the Willamette University College of Law with a focus on business and real estate. After he obtained his law degree, Mr. Kerley belonged to the Oregon State Bar and worked as a practicing real estate attorney for 10 years.
