Paul Mush

Corte Madera, CA

Paul Mush has been building sales teams since 1987. He has recruited, trained and managed over 10,000 reps for over 90 teams. He specializes in launching Internet startups getting them to their first dollar and then their first million dollars fast.

Paul Mush created a systematic sales process that encourages prospects to recognize and emotionally accept the challenges they face and to make decisions based on their own best interests.

Fundamental to the sales training is for sales reps to move outside their own ego so they can clearly and accurately perceive others viewpoints, perceptions and communication styles. While seemingly simple, the approach is subtle, takes maturity and intelligence to implement and is thus rarely found.

Most reps have been taught to close sales which means an attempt to force their interests ahead of the prospect's. They strive to defend their ego even at the expense of the sale. This leads to the high attrition rate, low productivity and negative reputation that prevails in sales.

Paul Mush believes that a more enlightened approach eschews coercion and aims to forge a lasting mutually beneficial business relationship. Sales reps that adopt and master the methods taught inevitably rise to the top 20% and often top 1% on any team they join.

Paul Mush had a previous career as an engineer and he earned a BS in Physics from Colorado State University, after earning 4 associate degrees. Paul applies his technical background as well as a more artistic sensibility to craft strategies that rely on storytelling and reach past mere left brain / ego to the right brain / subconsicous. This is orders-of-magnitude and are effective and pleasant for all parties, bringing them inevitably to the same side of the table cooperating together to make it in a competitive marketplace.
