Phillip Barron

I wear many hats in life and on the web.

Trained in philosophy, I am a writer and award-winning digital media artist living in Davis, California. My writings have appeared in Inside Higher Ed, The Herald Sun, Radical Philosophy Review, and Urban Velo among other journals, and my photography and videography have appeared in art galleries in Durham, North Carolina and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since 2003, I have blogged at nicomachus.net. I work with The History Project at the University of California, Davis; before that I spent seven years with the National Humanities Center outside Durham, NC. I have a small website design and hosting company, nicomedia. 

My first book, The Outspokin' Cyclist, was published in August 2011, and my poetry appears online and in print. I am co-editor of the journal, OccuPoetry.
