Peter Carr

Peter Carr’s work focusses on the impact of information technology in society and its application within organisations. He is the Director of three online certificate programs at the University of Waterloo in Technology Entrepreneurship, Project Leadership and Social Media for Business Performance, for working professionals.

He is a Lecturer in the Department of Management Sciences in the Faculty of Engineering at the university where he teaches courses in the Impact of Information Technology in Society, the Strategic Management of Technology, Project Management, Technology Entrepreneurship and Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Peter’s current research focusses on social media in business, where he has led the creation of an archive of over 1000 case studies of organisational social media usage and in project management, with an annual survey study of project management practice in organisations. Peter also works with NetHope on the use of information technology in humanitarian development and has conducted over 20 research projects in this field in the past 10 years.
