Peter Clarke

Peter is a director of Recept Consulting Limited a real estate advisory and asset management business providing services to large corporations, banks, real estate funds and overseas investors.

Recept specialises in real estate finance advisory but also provides investment and asset management, systems, due diligence and sustainability services. He was formerly Executive Officer (Chief Operating Officer) of FTSE100 listed British Land Company where he was responsible for the group’s capital markets and derivatives activities and led the teams that dealt with nearly £5 billion of finance restructurings including the award winning debenture deal in 2006. His other responsibilities included portfolio-wide control of rent reviews, credit control, information systems and corporate responsibility.

Prior to taking on the Executive Officer role, Peter has one of two joint Heads of Asset Management for British Land with responsibility for retail properties across the UK and for rent reviews on London offices. He was Chairman of Broadgate Estates Limited which manages office, retail and residential properties for large UK landlords and overseas clients.

Peter is a former Senior Advisor to AlixPartners the global turnaround and restructuring specialist and is a former Chairman of The Better Buildings Partnership an exclusive collaboration of London’s leading commercial property owners. Peter is a Chartered Secretary and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
