Pete Yagmin is an independent filmmaker from Massachusetts known for the supernatural horror-comedy Dark Roast (nominated “Best New England Film” – 2014 Massachusetts Independent Film Festival) and the tongue-in-cheek slasher film Planchette (winner “Outstanding Sound Design” and “Outstanding Original Song” – 2015 Boston Indie Mafia Wicked Film Challenge).

A life-long resident of Massachusetts, Pete draws inspiration from the historical and culturally rich nature of New England and cites early exposure to the works of John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Tim Burton, and John Landis as having direct influence on the subject and style of his films.

Currently in pre-production,Whispers of Carcosa is Pete’s third film as a writer-director and will be his most demanding film production to date.

When not producing or promoting indie films through Evil Stew Productions, Pete makes a living as a creative technologist and internet marketing professional.
