Marketing communication and sports, my 2 passions… Determined to build a career with passion I already had the opportunity to gather experience in both sectors. First a 4-month internship at Sporza where I worked for several sports programs (e.g. Extra Time, World Cup South-Africa 2010, Europa League,…) and wrote a management case on the evaluation of football television programs. A successful internship rewarded with a gradation Cum Laude in Sports Management. Ambitious to have a more deeper insight and knowledge about communication I obtained two years later my Master Communication Management at the University of Ghent, writing a Master’s Thesis combining once again sports and communication.

Being curious is one of my characteristics so no wonder I start my professional career in market(ing) research, eager to understand the ‘ why, who, when, what, how, to who,… ‘ about communication in a professional context. At first at Dedicated, a market research company in Brussels, where I worked as Junior Project leader as only Dutch speaking employee. Later on as Research Executive in Marketing at Ipsos in Ghent, a global market research company.

After a short pit-stop at Decathlon as Departement Manager I eventually found a professional challenge with a perfect match at Het Opzet. An activation agency where I am responsible for general project management of several projects involving marketing and communication.

I also write articles for the online news site Extrasport.be and I try to catch up with the latest trends in online marketing(communication), therefore I recently obtained the certificate 'Online Marketeer' by following an online self-study course about the use of social media / Google / ... in online marketing strategies.
