Harbor pilot since 1994, licensed by State of Hawaii and USCG. Have sailed all over the world aboard tankers, general cargo, bulk, and container ships. Worked aboard research ships, line haul tugs, commercial fishing boats, and tour boats. Loved going to sea, but enjoy being a harbor pilot even more. Loved the traveling. But love home more. Born and raised here in Hawaii, part-Hawaiian, I love these islands. But find myself saddened by dramatic changes occuring with no thought of our future or our ability to sustain ourselves on these islands here in the middle of the Pacific. Spending the second half of my life trying to change the "staus-quo" narrative of Hawaii's political and business leadership.
