Pınar Yanardağ

I am a Ph.D. student at Purdue, working in Machine Learning and Social Networks under Fulbright Ph.D. fellowship and Google Anita Borg scholarship.

I hail from Istanbul (and Bodrum) where I worked for TUBITAK UEKAE (The Turkish Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology) as a Security Team Leader and floss developer under Pardus GNU/Linux project and as a mentor for Google Summer of Code. I also hold a MSc in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University. More details can be found on my resume [pdf].

When I am not coding; I like Redditing, y-combinating, playing Diablo III, travelling and listening to good music. I sometimes tweet @pinguar.

I am also a fan of non-profit startups like Internet Archive and Kiva (you can join to our lending team, Hagakure).
