Amy Chenault uses design to change the world and make it a better place. She graduated from DAAP (University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning), where her focus was how to integrate the empathic design model into everyday design processes. While at DAAP, she was chosen as 1 of 50 student designers across the world to participate in the global collaborative Creative Waves program to increase social awareness of AIDS in Africa. She contributed to the Low2No low/no carbon living project that won the 2009 SITRA competition, the 2011 Italian national prize for innovation, and an acknowledgement prize in the prestigious 2011 Holcim awards for sustainable construction. She is currently at Pearson designing products and strategies attempting to solve one of the largest challenges the world has yet to crack: education.
